8MM SOFT COPPER PIPE INSERTS
Made of copper, this Atkinson pipe insert acts as a strengthening support, allowing a joint made via a compression fitting to be tightened with some force with no risk of crushing. Suitable for 10mm soft copper pipe, the insert forms an airtight seal between the inside diameter of the pipe and the compression fitting. This in turn helps get air tight compression joints, improving the performance of your oil heating pipework.
These should be used in all joints where you have a Tigerloop, Fire valve, filter or isolation valve. We also recommend you use them when installing an Atkinson Tank Top – Top off take valve, this requires an air tight pipework as it relies on suction and prime from the boiler pump to remain primed, so should there be air ingress in the line the prime will drop the fuel back to the tank. This is due to the top off take valve being protection against syphoning the fuel as it also acts as an anti-syphon valve.
Quality British manufactured brass inserts for 8mm copper oil pipes. Also know as micro-bore pipe. Approved by OFTEC to ensure airtight joints.
