Overfill Alarm for Fuel Storage Tanks

Simple operating principle; A floating switch is suspended inside the top of the tank, this is factory attached to the alarm with a cable of 2m in length. Once the level in the tank reaches the switch and causes it to float, an alarm will sound. The alarm is silenced with a “reset” button, this will prevent the alarm from sounding again until the fluid level has dropped, deactivating the floating switch.

The overfill alarm is also a good addition to your system if you have a remote offset fill point installed. In this situation, where the filling point of the fuel tank is remotely sited due to access to the tank being restricted for fuel delivery vehicles. The alarm can be mounted at the filling point remotely from the tank, as it will sound an alarm if the fuel delivery driver is filling the tank but not near the tank and cannot see when to stop filling.

We offer several types of alarm for monitoring fuel tank levels, whether it be overfill alarm, bund monitoring, or a combined overfill and bund monitoring alarm, you can also modify a combined alarm to measure for low level as well instead of bund by just reversing the float on the sensor. The sensor cable length can be increased easily as its standard 2 core cable.
