Pressure Relief Valve, Adjustable Polypropylene Body
What does a pressure relief valve do on a boiler? PRVs, also sometimes known as safety release valves, are in place to prevent a build up of pressure. The valve opens to release pressure when the level becomes too high, and closes again when the pressure has dropped to within a safe range.
The main function of the device is that it allows adjustment of the working pressure by allowing the pumped liquid returning via the bypass hose leading back to the tank, thus avoiding the onset of dangerous pressures when the outlets are closed or set the pressure valves above the maximum allowed pressures. This valve has a maximum operating pressure of 10bar, the maximum flow rate is 70(lpm) litres per minute.
The Valve has a simple mode of operation, the large adjusting knob is turned clockwise to increase pressure & Anti clockwise to reduce the pressure, a 1/4″ pressure gauge can be fitted to the side port of the valve.
We can also supply the 1/4″ pressure gauges for up to 1 bar or 0-30psi. – Pressure Gauge
As well as this Pressure Relief Valve, Adjustable Polypropylene Body, we also supply nylon & Brass pressure relief valves too – Pressure Relief Valves
